who are your main inspirations?
my main ones i would say are kendrick, skepta, earl sweatshirt, denzel curry and probs tyler the creator, anytime I listened to them it just made me want to get into music. The soundscapes and worlds they produce through music is just crazy to me and a younger me was just super inspired by them. Also the the people they and things they represent also stood out to me. A special shout-out to JPEGMAFIA, A$AP Rocky, Vince Staples.
where are u located?
well i’m from london but for the past 2 years i’ve been in between edinburgh and glasgow for university. so been here long enough to finally adapt to the whether, ish.
what are you plans for 2022? what other shows do you have coming up ?
my plans for 2022 are mainly just to keep growing as an artist and get my name out there more really. Last year felt like my introduction year to the Scottish music scene while this year feels like my name is actually getting out there and becoming a recognisable it’s all still pretty surreal this whole experience so just taking it step by step, by the end of the year i wanna be an artist to look out for 2023. watch this space
where is your favourite place in the world?
London, there’s no better city in the world for me, also a slight biased towards it because I'm from there but there's just a energy about it that I love, it feels like something is always happening. it's just completely different from the rest of the UK, like it's own little country so to speak.
what does being an artist mean to you ?
literally everything really. probably since the age of 13-14 i always wanted to be in the music world in some capacity but never really thought i would be actually making music and have some of the best experiences so it really means a lot to me the fact that i can myself an artist. its still sly weird saying it tbh
In terms of songwriting, what is your approach when writing something new?
urmmmm, it’s more i feel what type of vibe the song is and from there i just will keep writing to i get it done, which is normally within a few hours or so. I like completely shutting myself off from everyone when I get into song writing mode because ill get distracted and lose a good idea or just completely get out of the mood for making music.
