HELP MUSICIANS SCOTLAND


We’re so pleased to be working with our official Resonate charity partner, Help Musicians Scotland (HM Scotland). For the second year in a row, we’ve teamed up with the UK’s leading UK charity for professional musicians of all genres, from starting out through to retirement. The incredible work and support Help Musicians Scotland have offered to Scottish musicians since their launch in early 2018, has been superb.

HM Scotland offers practical advice, positive support for emerging, established and retired musicians. It is the regional dedicated office from Help Musicians UK and has been created for the purposes of empowering Scottish musicians and those in the Scottish music industry who require help, advice, opportunities, and health and welfare support grants. 

With nearly a 100 year history of helping musicians, HMUK has identified Scotland’s music industry, with its rich history of Scottish of talent and growing music scene, as needing further targeted investment to sustain and secure its future. Since launch in early 2018, HM Scotland is already doing important work to support and empower the local industry.

2018 seen Help Musicians Scotland launch a mental health support line ‘Music Minds Matter’. The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can find out more about the MMM support line here .

This year see’s Resonate welcome HM Scotland as official charity partner, the charity will be hosting a workshop ‘Surviving & Thriving The Music Industry’. In addition, HM Scotland’s team will feature in the ‘Meet The Funders’ drop in, where delegates can receive expert advice on the accessibility of funding.

As part of the partnership with Resonate, HM Scotland are offering a RESONATE BURSARY consisting of discounted places to artists and music industry professionals, enabling professionals who may not other wise be able to afford to attend. HM Scotland will pay for 50 attendees to attend Resonate at a discounted rate of £25 (the general admission fee is £75).

This offer is open to musicians and industry professionals who are currently living in Scotland and have been a resident for 3 years or more.

In order to apply, eligible applicants should complete this short online application form before 5pm on Friday 26th October.
