Resonate Artist Of The Week : Del Prez (Premiere)

We’re back and like this tune, back with a B-A-N-G! This week’s premiere comes from electro-pop phenomenon Del Prez.

The producer treats us to his first original composition in ‘Be Alright’ a collaboration with Kendama. Stylistically bold and in your face, Del Prez puts intense synthesiser melodies and D&B rhythms front and centre without detracting from a passionate vocal from Kendama’s Stuart Edgar.

Some of DP’s big name influences like Martin Garrix and The Chainsmokers, some of the more eccentric electronic artists like Dorian Electra and 100 gecs are definitely felt within ‘Still Alright’. Tightrope-walking that line between EDM and hyperpop perfectly, he combines the emotive euphoria of electronic dance with the most addictive elements of pop.

Released on all major streaming platforms tomorrow [30th July] ‘Still Alright’ is an exceptional debut from this young energised artist/producer. A producer who has great promise and a bright future with an EP planned featuring a variety of Scottish artists - a tantalising thought.
