Resonate Artist Of The Week: AiiTee

Our first Resonate Artist of the Week of 2022 is Scottish Album Of The Year 2021 nominee AiiTee. Her talent is unrivalled and her latest track ‘Sound Of Music’ is another alluring addition to her growing catalogue of R&B.

The Scottish-Nigerian artist had a defining year last year, nominated for ‘Best Newcomer’ at the Scottish Alternative Music Awards, SAY Award Shortlist inclusion and the release of her debut solo record ‘Love Don’t Fall’. Inspired by the likes of R&B heavyweights Rihanna and Beyoncé, it’s understandable and absolutely warranted the level of excitement surrounding AiiTee.

‘Sound Of Music’ has a distinct aura of honesty, simple instrumentation all whilst remaining sophisticated. Without doubt, the mesmerising tones of this young stars voice really is something to behold -

‘I wanna dance with somebody, just feel the beat with somebody

Please god just find me somebody, somebody to love’

AiiTee’s perfect blend of uplifting R&B is mixed with a playful nod to the movie ‘The Sound Of Music’ where she echoes the famous musical major scale track ‘Do-Re-Mi’ throughout. A wonderfully refreshing modern adaptation and one you should definitely go check out right now.

Resonate Artist of the Week: Dead Sea Souls

Dead Sea Storms stormed back into the Scottish music scene in 2019. Two back-to-back SOLD-OUT nights at the world-famous King Tuts in Glasgow made sure of that. The pandemic may have curbed their ability to play for their fans, but it's given them time to write and record new material. DSS 2.0 is taking shape!

The new material is bound to please fans new and old, still laden with hooks and anthemic choruses, but also more rounded and considered. This new Dead Sea Souls sound is bigger, more musically aware, but still has that dance DNA......the thing that makes the crowd want to turn up and go nuts!

2022 is set to be their biggest year...with new gigs and exciting fresh material. It all kicks off with the anthemic release – Two Houses – Which drops on Friday 17th December alongside an announcement of their biggest headline show to date – At Glasgow’s Oran Mor on 15th April 2022.
