Introducing: Caroline Sewell (Musicians' Union)

Caroline Sewell // Regional Organiser // Musicians’ Union
Caroline Sewell was born and bred in Glasgow and developed an immense and eclectic passion for music from a young age - both to listen to and to perform having played piano, guitar and sang from an early age.
By the time she graduated with a degree in Commercial Music at Paisley University (now University of the West of Scotland) she had ‘paid her dues’ having undertaken a whole host of work in the music industry in Scotland, working and getting involved at every possible music industry event and was also busy co-promoting a popular residency at the legendary Sub Club (Glasgow), Relentless which ran successfully at the Subby for a number of years.
Caroline spent years working in studios and learning the ropes in the recording and rehearsal studio side of operations, and also ran busy event services as part of these positions, providing musicians for different events all over the country, allowing her to work directly with gigging musicians and cut her teeth in the logistics and touring side of the industry.
Caroline worked for Glasgow based company, No Half Measures which boasted a host of prominent artists on their roster such as Wet Wet Wet, Hue and Cry, Red Sky July, The Hedrons, Cosmic Rough Riders and The Law to name a few. In 2014, Caroline started working for the MU as the Regional Officer and has now been the MU’s Regional Organiser for Scotland and Northern Irelandn since 2016.

Caroline will be taking part in our ‘Meet The Support Organisations’. In this session, delegates have a unique opportunity to meet some amazing support organisations. Whether it be funding, wellbeing support, strategic and contractual advice, these guys got you covered.
