Resonate Artist Of The Week: Kitti

We’re back! And what a tune and what an artist we have for you this week - the debut release by Glasgow based jazz guru, Kitti.

‘Chasing The Crowd’ was released last Friday to rapturous applause across the music scene. The jazz/R&B fused pop track exposes those bare truths a lot of us face in this ever pressure filled world, with Kitti’s phenomenal vocals taking centre stage. The Glaswegian singer/songwriter Kitti is quickly establishing herself as one to watch - already featuring in Glasgow nu-jazz collective Corto.Alto’s track ‘Better’ and the beating heart of The Blue Arrow Jazz Club’s house band. Kitti’s soaring vocals and unique lyrics demand attention and make it easy to see why fans are making comparisons to the likes of Jorja Smith and Alicia Keys. 
Kitti’s debut release ‘Chasing The Crowd’ explores those internal automatic comparisons we make with ourselves and others - Have you ever compared yourself to that guy in the gym with washboard abs or that girl on the street with the amazing “instagramable” makeup? Recently, artists like Lizzo, Jess Glyne & Beyonce are all encouraging us to embrce our natural bodies and Kitti’s ‘Chasing The Crowd’ musters confidence in self perception.
